OUR STORY

Engineering with Purpose

AETERNA is an engineering-led company built on practical experience, curiosity and a commitment to solving real industrial and mobility challenges.

Our journey began with complex engineering problems. Through hands-on design, development and validation, each project expanded our capabilities and deepened our understanding of motors, power electronics and mechanical systems.

Today, we bring that experience to our own technology initiatives and to engineering challenges across industries — developing efficient, reliable and application-specific solutions.

Our capabilities have grown through practical development, experimentation and the pursuit of better engineering solutions.

2016

EV Component R&D

Initiated research and development work in electric vehicle components.

2019

Battery Switching System

Developed a battery switching system concept supporting 220V AC input and battery packs up to 800V DC. Patent applied for.

2021

Air-Cooled Motor & Controller

Developed and demonstrated an air-cooled motor and controller on a donor vehicle as a proof of concept. Reported system efficiency was approximately 74%.

2023

Liquid-Cooled Motor

Advanced motor development through a liquid-cooled design initiative. Patent applied for.

2023

Single-Speed Gearbox

Undertook the design and development of a single-speed gearbox.

2024

SiC-Based Inverter

Advanced power electronics capability through a silicon-carbide-based inverter design.

Our engineering approach extends beyond electric mobility. We work across industrial equipment, manufacturing technologies, pumps and fluid-handling systems, and specialised engineering applications.

From early-stage design to development support and technical problem-solving, we aim to turn complex engineering requirements into practical solutions.

NEXT FRONTIER / UNDER DEVELOPMENT

Integrated 300 kW Powertrain

A high-power integrated powertrain initiative bringing together electric motor, power electronics and drivetrain engineering.

The 500 kW platform is currently under development. It represents an ongoing technology initiative, not a completed or commercially released product.
